Sibshops are lively, action-packed, three-hour workshops that provide support and guidance to siblings of children with special developmental or medical needs. Celebrating the many contributions made by brothers and sisters of kids with special needs, the Sibshop model mixes connecting with others, discussion, information and fun activities such as games, art, music, cooking and more. Participants get to meet other sibs (usually for the first time) and freely talk about the good and not-so-good parts of having a sib with special needs. They also learn something about the services their brothers and sister receive, and have some more fun!
Sibshops are open to typically developing children ages 6-12 who have a brother or sister with special needs.
Sibshops are held in at the Kindering Bothell site (near the Northshore YMCA), usually on the third Friday of the month from 4:00 - 7:00 pm
